How do I receive free potting?

Choose one of the following:

• Purchase any houseplant and a coordinating pot from D.R. Snell Nursery.
• Bring one healthy, pest-free houseplant from home and purchase a regularly priced pot valued at $19.99 or more.

We’ll provide the standard potting mix and pot your plant for free.

May I bring a plant from home?

Yes! Please bring one healthy, manageable and reasonably pest-free houseplant. Our team will inspect the plant before bringing it into the potting area.

For the safety of our houseplants, we cannot accept plants showing signs of insects, disease or rot.

How many plants may I have potted?

The complimentary service is limited to one plant per customer so we can help as many people as possible.

Is there a size limit?

Yes. Complimentary potting is available for pots up to 12 inches in diameter.

We may be unable to repot plants that are oversized, extremely rootbound, unusually delicate or difficult to safely handle.

Do I need to purchase a pot?

Yes. A new pot must be purchased from D.R. Snell Nursery during the event.

• A houseplant purchased here may be paired with any appropriately sized coordinating pot.
• A plant brought from home requires the purchase of a regularly priced pot valued at $19.99 or more.

Does the new pot need a drainage hole?

Our team will help you choose the best setup for your plant. Depending on the container, we may plant directly into a pot with drainage or place the plant in a properly sized nursery pot inside a decorative cover pot.

Is the potting soil included?

Yes. Standard houseplant potting mix is included with the complimentary service. Specialty soil, decorative stone, moss, fertilizer and other plant-care products may be purchased separately.

Do I need an appointment?

No appointment is necessary. Potting will be completed on a first-come, first-served basis while time and supplies last.

During busy periods, we may collect your name and phone number so you can shop while we finish your plant.

Will you help me choose the correct pot?

Absolutely! Our team can help you select an appropriately sized pot and answer questions about repotting, roots, light, watering and fertilizer.

Can you guarantee that my plant will recover after repotting?

Repotting can temporarily stress a plant, especially if it was already struggling or severely rootbound. We’ll handle your plant carefully and provide aftercare instructions, but we cannot guarantee plants brought from home.

What should I do before bringing my plant?

Please:

• Inspect it carefully for insects or disease.
• Make sure it is small enough for one person to carry safely.
• Transport it in a box, tray or protective bag.
• Avoid watering it heavily immediately before the event.
• Protect it from excessive heat or cold while traveling.

Is the offer available all day?

The event runs from 10 AM–3 PM on Saturday, September 26, but complimentary potting is available only while time and supplies last. Arriving earlier is recommended.
